Meet Emily --
Emily is a compassionate and skilled therapist who specializes in working with individuals facing substance use disorders (SUD), eating disorders (ED), and women’s issues. With a diverse and extensive clinical background, Emily also provides support for individuals dealing with domestic violence/abuse, trauma, mood disorders, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, 2SLGBTQIA+ issues, and relationship challenges. She takes an eclectic and client-centered approach to therapy, drawing from a range of effective modalities to ensure that each individual receives the most personalized and supportive care.
The therapeutic modalities Emily most frequently utilizes include Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Feminist Therapy, and Integrative Therapy. These approaches allow her to meet clients where they are, empowering them to explore and overcome challenges while fostering personal growth and healing. Emily is also currently in the process of completing training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), further expanding her ability to support clients through trauma and emotional pain.
Emily is available for both in-person sessions and sessions via telehealth.
Note
For clients presenting with eating disorders, Emily requires that they are simultaneously engaged with a primary care provider (PCP) to monitor medical acuity and ensure holistic care. This collaboration helps ensure that clients receive comprehensive support that addresses both mental and physical health.
